Robyn developed a keen interest in all things relating to the Mountain West Frontier when as a youth she joined the Old Ephraim Mountain Men and Women Club and, along with her mother and father, reveled in the annual Rendezvous. She spent many hours in preparation, building, fixing, designing, arranging and learning the history, traditions and folklore of the mountain men and women and that of the Indian tribes of the same era. She mastered the art and safety of outdoor fire building. She had a large extended family of admiring Old Ephraim mountain men and women. Robyn loved the wildlife around their home on the mountain and made two memorable trips to the grave of Old Ephraim - the famous rogue grizzly bear. She loved British comedies on TV, cats, wild flowers, gardening and visits to grandparents and relatives. She enjoyed the Bear Lake community and was known by many in the area.
