Clean Up Time

After a long week, it's here. Time to clean up once the festivities have ended. Please bring your work clothes and be ready to clean up our camping spot. It will be nice to have as much help as possible. If we do our part maybe we will be allowed back some time when we are flooded out of our spot and are dying to get out and camp. By the way... I just checked the weather and the weekend looks great. So, come enjoy at least a day with us picking up the left overs. See you Saturday @ 10:00am. The club will bring sandwiches for lunch.

It rained for 40 days and 40 nights

(This is the bridge going into the site. When we first arrived this is what it looked like. When we left the river was washing over the bridge. There is a lot of debris on the bridge of past high tide.)

Well, at least that what it feels like. Here are some photos of our rendezvous site. As you can see from the photos we can't use that land. There are some dangers that we are not clear of yet this season.

(The river is out of it's bed and has started a new river. This is at the North end of camp near the situation shoot area. The second bend is what is sending the water to the lower parts of camp.)

We, the OEMM presidency are looking for a new location. We spent more than 12 hours yesterday looking for alternate sites. We will keep you posted as we find something. If any of you have an idea of a location that we can use please let us know so we can look into it.

( There are three rivers in camp now. The main river this is a second river next to the "rock garden" and then the back gully by the base of the mountain is running. On Saturday when we went to look, only the back gully had water in it. It dried out near the main bridge in camp. Sunday these two rivers went clear below "hanging bird hill".)

(This is the large gully that was back filled a few years ago. This is looking south from where we held council fire last year. The whole meadow that was a gully and back filled was full of water. The gully that runs on the East of the property was full and flowing with pretty good current on Sunday. This area would be on traders row.)

Some may think we are not working fast enough but Mother Nature didn't send us the memo any earlier than Sunday.

This is the North end of camp. This is where the road dips and heads back to the situation shoot. On Saturday this was the water on the property. I jumped this bit of water on Saturday. On Sunday it was about three lengths of me wide:))

Stay tuned so you know where we will be camping or what will be going on.
